About CoupleyFit™

Hey! We are Kurt and Deanna Mangum II, the husband and wife behind CoupleyFit™. We live in Phoenix, Arizona and share our health + wellness tips, yummy recipes we’re trying (or loving!), where we’re traveling to, and new experiences that we’re building together.

Kurt works as the Head of Business Development for the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), while Deanna works on CoupleyFit™ full-time. When we’re looking to unplug from work and embrace the slowness of the Southwest, we enjoy a relaxing Sunday that includes a praise-worthy church sermon, watching football, and some quality time to top off the night.

Our Mission

It’s simple: create generational health! We like to think that instead of passing down material items that may have no value in the future, why not give the gift that keeps on giving? Health!

Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, creating joy, love, kindness, togetherness through displaying positive, healthy behaviors!

You can listen to some of our personal health testimonials on our podcast.

How it all started

Before we were married in 2016 we wanted to create a lifestyle brand centered around health and wellness advocating for couples to feel better together. Who knew that line of thinking would start our transformative journey!

Kurt has his Master’s in Sports Science and Deanna is a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and Transformational Specialist so it made sense to start a business together to teach what we have been taught - CoupleyFit™ was born! We began training clients and hosting boot camps outside at the park, eventually transitioning to a private gym. As we were helping clients with their health journeys, we noticed a couple of frequently asked questions. First, what are the basics of health and second, what is the TRUE meaning of health?

When we thought about a simple solution to these questions we took into account our own personal experiences as athletes, as well as science-based medical information to create our own approach to physical health, S.W.A.N.™ (Sleep, Water, Activity, Nutrition).

But we noticed that even when clients were “S.W.A.N.™ing” if they were not feeling better emotionally, mentally and spiritually, the physical health aspect would start to fall short. In that moment a revelation came down on us, TRUE health is not about focusing on one aspect of health, but rather understanding that the whole-person approach is what makes TRUE lifestyle transformations - and we’re proof!

We began focusing on the importance of mental and emotional health being just as important as our physical health; they cannot be looked at as seperate.

During this revelation, we were building our audience on social media trying to motivate and inspire other couples through living what we preach. Although impacting individual lives through training was incredible, we know our divine mission is to use our social media presence to bring positive health impact to the masses!

“Teaching what we’ve been taught, by living what we’ve learned, so others can taste and see that the Lord is good!”
