What the heck is S.W.A.N.™?
We created a simple acronym, S.W.A.N.™ (Sleep, Water, Activity, Nutrition), to get back to the basics of health. Sleep, Water, Activity, and Nutrition are the four major aspects of well-rounded physical health, and when we focus on each one daily we are guaranteed to start feeling better! Trust us, we’re living proof to “Get your S.W.A.N.™ on!”
What does S.W.A.N.™ do for me?
Sleep
Our bodies all require long periods of sleep in order to restore and rejuvenate, to grow muscle, repair tissue, and synthesize hormones.
Water
Our bodies are made up of over 70% water: over 75% of our vital organs and 90% of our blood I made up of water. Your body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions.
Activity
Regular exercise and physical activity promotes strong muscles and bones. It improves respiratory, cardiovascular health, and overall health. Staying active can also help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and reduce your risk for some cancers.
Nutrition
Eating well is fundamental to good health and well-being. Consuming smaller, healthier meals more daily helps us to maintain a healthy weight and reduces our risk of type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and some cancers.
